Well, General Eduction classes are defiantly not my favorite, I never really looked forward to taking gen ed classes. Most of my Gen Ed classes I have taken in my education were from Ivy Tech Community College and AI Online. I recall my two favorite Gen Ed classes which are Psychology and Art History. I still have assignment handouts from psychology. I found that class so interesting, I really enjoyed it, especially learning how to hypnotise yourself. I also really enjoyed my Art History class, my favorite book is Gardner's Art Through the Ages.
Even though I dreaded these classes I am happy I experienced them. Now I'm going to be honest, this class falls in the same category as many of my other Gen Ed class, not really my favorite right now, however, I still have an open mind.
With all this said, I do think Gen Ed classes are definitely needed. They teach the most basic knowledge that people need for example math and English, even though English still is a struggle for me and I've been using it for over 30 years. They do make you a more rounded individual. I think some of the class could be dropped from the curriculum or at the least tweaked to meet the degrees being studied but that's just my opinion.
I'm glad to see psychology remains something you are interested in. Some of your insight into the human mind and why people make the choices they do should be helpful as you negotiate fashion design and consider what your clients might want. I'd like to know more about what classes you didn't find useful.
